My washer is
making a loud or
unusual noise,
vibration, or
shaking.
The cabinet is moving. • Your washer is designed to move
1/4 in. (6.35 mm) to reduce forces
transmitted to the floor. This
movement is normal.
All the leveling legs are
not firmly touching the
floor.
• Push and pull on the back right and
then back left of your washer to
make sure that it is level. If your
washer is uneven, adjust the
leveling legs so they are all firmly
touching the floor and locked in
place.
The load is unbalanced. • Open the door and manually
redistribute the load. To check your
washer, run Rinse & Spin with no
load. If it runs normally, the
unbalance was caused by the load.
The pump is clogged. • See Cleaning the pump filter on
page 36 on how to clean the pump
filter.
No power. My
washer is not
working or is
dead.
Your washer is unplugged. • Make sure that the power cord is
plugged securely into a working
outlet.
The water supply is turned
off.
• Turn the water faucets fully on.
The circuit breaker or fuse
is tripped or blown.
• Check the house circuit breakers or
fuses. Replace fuses or reset the
breaker. Your washer should have a
separate outlet.
Your washer is performing
an automatic self system
checks
• The first time your washer is
plugged in, it automatically checks
itself. It may take up to two minutes
before you can use your washer.
This is normal.
My clothes have
snags, holes, tears,
rips or excessive
wear.
Your washer is overloaded. • The dry weight of the load should
be less than 18 lbs.
Pens, pencils, nails, screws
or other objects were left
in pockets.
• Remove loose items from pockets.
Snaps, hooks, sharp
buttons, belt buckles, and
zippers were left
unsecured.
• Fasten snaps, hooks, buttons, and
zippers.
The time
remaining for the
spin cycle is
wrong or changes.
This is normal. • During the spin cycle, your washer
may need to re-balance the load to
reduce vibrations. When this
occurs, the estimated time is
increased.
