four-digit password, then press ENTER. The Lock
menu opens.
5 Press or to select V-Chip, then press or
to select On.
6 Press or to select V-Chip Set, then press
or ENTER. The V-Chip Set menu opens.
7 Press or to select TV Rating or
Movie Rating, then press or ENTER. One of
the following screens opens.
8 On the TV Rating screen, press or to
select a rating, then press ENTER. You can select
the following age ratings:
• TV-Y—All children
• TV-Y7—7 years old and above
• TV-G—General audiences
• TV-PG—Parental guidance suggested
• TV-14—14 years old and above
• TV-MA—17 years old and above
Set the following TV ratings based on genre:
• ALL—All
• D—Dialogue
• L—Language
• S—Sex
• V—Violence
• FV—Fantasy Violence
9 On the Movie Rating screen, press or to
select a rating, then press ENTER. You can
select:
• G—All ages
• PG—Parental guidance
•
PG-13—Parental guidance for children under
13 years old
• R—Parental guidance for children under 17
years old
• NC-17—17 years old and above
• X—Adults only
