If the water from your InSinkErator Water Dispenser is too hot or not hot enough, the thermostat may not be adjusted to your needs. Constant dripping from the spout or vent of your InSinkErator Water Dispenser indicates debris in the water line, which may be in the tap valve seat, causing a slow leak. Try unscrewing the spout end piece and cleaning out any debris. Then, depress or twist the lever 7-10 times to flush the tap and lines.

What to do if InSinkErator F-HC1100C water is dripping from the spout/vent intermittently?
    • B
      bowersshaunAug 31, 2025
If your InSinkErator Water Dispenser is dripping intermittently from the spout or vent, it could be due to the expansion chamber not draining properly because of low water pressure, or the spout is blocked. Unplug the unit. If the dripping doesn't stop after a few minutes, check the supply valve to ensure it is fully open and that there are no obstructions in the water line reducing the pressure below 172 kPa (1.7 bar; 25 psi), such as a poorly mounted saddle valve, a clogged water filter, or a partially opened shut-off valve. Also, unscrew the spout end piece and clean out any debris.

      James HayesSep 8, 2025
