Why is black smoke coming from my Instant VORTEX MINI?
    • S
      Sean ThomasJul 28, 2025
If black smoke is coming from your Instant Fryer, it could be due to several reasons. First, you might be using an oil with a low smoke point. In this case, touch Cancel, unplug the air fryer, let it cool, and then use a neutral oil with a high smoke point, such as avocado, rapeseed, soybean, safflower, or rice bran oil. Another cause might be food residue on the heating coil, in the cooking chamber, or on the accessories. To resolve this, touch Cancel, unplug the air fryer, let it cool, and thoroughly clean the cooking chamber and accessories. Finally, a faulty circuit or heating element could be the cause. In this instance, touch Cancel, unplug the air fryer, let it cool, and contact Customer Care. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.

Why is white smoke coming from my Instant VORTEX MINI Fryer?
    • L
      landrycolleenAug 8, 2025
If white smoke is coming from your Instant Fryer, it could be due to cooking foods with a high fat content, such as bacon, sausages, and hamburgers. Avoid air frying such foods. It may also happen if water is evaporating and producing thick steam, pat moist food ingredients dry before air frying and do not add water or other liquid to the cooking chamber when air frying. The issue might also be caused by seasoning on food blowing into the element. Be careful when seasoning food. Spray vegetables and meats with oil before seasoning to help the seasoning stick.
