Installing a Wireless LAN Card in the PCI
Express Half-Mini Card Slot (Optional)
A wireless LAN card can be installed in the Desktop Board’s PCI Express Half-Mini Card
slot. Wireless LAN cards are not included with the Desktop Board and must be
purchased separately.
To install a PCI Express Half-Mini Card wireless LAN card on the Desktop Board, see
Figure 18 and follow these steps:
1. Observe the
precautions in "Before You Begin" on page
33.
2. Locate the
PCI Express Half-Mini Card slot (see Figure 1, G).
3. Insert the wireless LAN card into the PCI
Express Mini Card connector (Figure 18,
A) at
a slightly upward angle.
4. Align the mounting holes (Figure 18, B) and snap the card in place.
5. Attach yo
ur system’s
antenna wires to the connectors (Figure 18, C) on the
wireless LAN card as
shown.
