To replace the battery, follow these steps:
1. Observe the precautions in "Before You Begin" (see page 27).
2. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to t
he computer. Disconnect the
computer’s power cord from the AC power source (wall outlet or power adapter).
3. Remove the computer cover.
4. Locate the battery on the board (see Figure 24).
5. Di
sconnect the battery wire from the onboard connector (Figure 24, A) and remove
the old battery (Figure 24, B) from the back of the I/O stack.
6. Remove the
protective backing paper (Figure 24, C) from the new battery, attach it
to the
back of the I/O stack (Figure 24, D), and connect t
he battery wires to the
connector (Figure 24, E).
7. Replace the computer
cover.
