  The power light might not be lit for several reasons. Ensure the server AC power cord is securely plugged into the power supply. If your ATX power supply has a power switch on the back, make sure it's turned on. Also, check if the power-on button was pressed. If the system is operating normally, the power LED might be defective, or the cable from the control panel to the server board might be loose. Try removing all add-in cards to see if the system boots. Make sure the chassis standoffs are installed only below mounting holes. Confirm that the memory DIMMs and processor(s) comply with and were populated according to the system requirements. Reseat the memory DIMMs and processor(s).

Also, check for shorted wires caused by pinched cables or power connector plugs forced into sockets the wrong way, and ensure the cable from the control panel board is connected to both the control panel board and the server board.
