How to fix Intex 126644GS motor that fails to start?
    • B
      Bonnie RayAug 17, 2025
If your Intex Water Filtration System's motor won't start, first, ensure the line cord is plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. If that doesn't work, reset the GFCI/RCD circuit breaker. If it trips repeatedly, turn off the breaker and consult an electrician. Also, the motor may be too hot; let it cool down before restarting.

Why is my Intex 126644GS Water Filtration Systems not pumping water or has very slow flow?
    • M
      Michael Smith Jr.Aug 19, 2025
If your Intex Water Filtration System isn't pumping water or the flow is slow, there could be several reasons. First, release any trapped air in the system. Check for and clear any obstructions in the intake hose. Ensure there are no air leaks on the intake line by tightening hose nuts and inspecting the hoses for damage, also check the pool water level. If the pool is excessively dirty, backwash the filter. If the sand media is clogged with dirt, remove about 1 inch of sand if necessary. Also, make sure the nozzle is at the upper position of the pool inlet and the strainer at the lower position of the pool outlet. Remove any pool vacuuming device attached to the system line. Finally, ensure the inlet threaded air connector is connected to the pool inlet upper hole.

If your Intex Water Filtration System isn’t cleaning the pool, start by adjusting the chlorine and pH levels, consulting your local swimming pool supply store for guidance. Then, ensure the tank is loaded with filter sand. Set the valve to the “FILTER” position. If the pool is excessively dirty, operate the filter for longer periods. Also, clean the strainer screen at the inlet, as it may be restricting water flow.

Why is sand flowing back into the pool from Intex 126644GS Water Filtration Systems?
    • E
      evanswilliamAug 31, 2025
If sand is flowing back into your Intex Water Filtration System pool, it could be due to the sand being too small. Use only No. 20 silica sand with a particle size range of 0.45 to 0.85 mm (0.018 to 0.033 inches) and a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75. Alternatively, the sand bed may be calcified, in which case you should change the sand.
