How to troubleshoot Intex SF80220RC-2 motor that fails to start?
    • J
      John SmithAug 16, 2025
If the Intex Water Filtration Systems's motor doesn't start, ensure the line cord is plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. Also, reset the circuit breaker if it has tripped; repeated tripping may indicate an electrical system defect requiring an electrician. If the motor is too hot, allow it to cool down before restarting.

Why is the Intex SF80220RC-2 Water Filtration Systems filter not pumping water or flow is very slow?
    • R
      Richard TateAug 19, 2025
If your Intex Water Filtration Systems isn't pumping water or the flow is very slow, check for and clear any obstructions in the intake hose. Tighten hose nuts, inspect hoses for damage, and ensure the pool water level is adequate to prevent air leaks. Clean the pre-filtering basket more often if the pool is excessively dirty. Backwash the filter if the sand media is clogged. Verify the nozzle and strainer connections are correctly positioned, with the nozzle at the upper pool inlet and the strainer at the lower pool outlet. Remove about 1' of sand if crusting or caking is present on the filtering sand surface. Detach any pool vacuuming devices and ensure the inlet threaded air connector is connected to the pool inlet's upper hole.

What to do if Intex SF80220RC-2 Water Filtration Systems doesn't clean pool?
    • A
      Amanda Johnson MDAug 22, 2025
If your Intex Water Filtration Systems isn’t cleaning the pool, adjust the chlorine and pH levels, consulting your local pool supply store for guidance. Ensure the tank is loaded with filter sand according to the 'sand loading instructions'. Set the valve to the 'FILTER' position. If the pool is excessively dirty, operate the filter for longer periods. Also, clean the strainer screen at the inlet to remove any restrictions to water flow.

Why Intex Water Filtration Systems pump doesn’t work?
    • K
      karen36Aug 26, 2025
If the pump of your Intex Water Filtration Systems isn’t working, first ensure the pool is filled to the correct water level. Then, clean the strainer screens at the pool inlet. Also, check for air leaks on the intake hose by tightening hose nuts and inspecting the hose for any damage. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, contact the Intex service center, as the motor may be faulty or the impeller jammed.

What to do if Intex SF80220RC-2 Water Filtration Systems inlet threaded air connector/air jet valve is leaking?
    • J
      John HansenSep 3, 2025
If the inlet threaded air connector or air jet valve of your Intex Water Filtration Systems is leaking, tighten or reinstall the plunger valve. Ensure the air jet valve is tight and facing up. If the internal seal is blocked, turn the pump on for a few seconds, then off; repeat this three times. If the seal is dirty, remove the air jet valve, flush out dirt with water, and replace the valve. If the valve is broken, replace it with a new one.
