How to fix insufficient sodium hypochlorite in Intex Krystal Clear QS400?
    • T
      tammymitchellAug 6, 2025
If you have insufficient sodium hypochlorite in your Intex Water Filtration System, increase the daily operating time of the Saltwater System. Check the salt level with the Test Kit and adjust as needed if it is less than 2000ppm. Use a pool cover when the pool is not in use or when the unit is operating to reduce sodium hypochlorite loss due to intense sunlight exposure. Inspect the electrolytic cell and clean it if necessary. If there is a high UV level exposure, cover the pool with a pool cover for 2 days with the device running and then test the water using the test strips. If the pool is clean and clear, add stabilizer to the water and then test the water with the device running.

Why are there white flakes in the water of my Intex Krystal Clear QS400?
    • K
      Kevin ReyesAug 13, 2025
If you see white flakes in the water of your Intex Water Filtration System, it's likely due to excessive calcium hardness. Drain about 20 to 25% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the calcium hardness. Also, inspect the electrolytic cell for scale buildup and clean it if necessary.

If there is no LED display on your Intex Water Filtration System, first ensure that the power switch is on. If it is on, reset the RCD. If neither of these actions works, a power fuse may have blown, in which case you should contact the Intex Service Center.

      Roy HardyOct 29, 2025
If your Intex Water Filtration System displays a flashing LED panel code with an alarm, several issues could be the cause. Ensure a filter pump with the correct flow rate is attached and operating. Remove the black hat-like plugs from the pool strainer connectors to ensure that circulation line is not blocked. Clear your filter cartridge and cell from debris and dirt. Release all trapped air in the circulation line. Check the direction of the inlet and the outlet hose, and reverse the hoses if necessary. Clean the titanium electrode. Ensure that the electrode cord is plugged into the electrode and tighten the plug collar firmly. Reset both timers on the filter pump and saltwater system. Remove primary electrolytic cell for inspection and clean it if necessary. Add salt if the salt level is...
