Usage Features

- Pre-installation: Ensure the pool is filled with water. The air release valve on the filter pump must be opened to release trapped air during initial setup.

- Filter Housing: The filter housing collar (13) secures the filter cartridge (5) inside the housing.

- Hydro Aeration Technology: The aeration adaptor air valve (1701) allows air to enter the water stream. Some tear-drop water coming out of this valve when the pump is off is normal. Accessories like solar mats, hydroelectric LED lights, or auto pool cleaners must be removed from the filtration system circulation line to ensure optimal aeration performance. The included air jet valve cap (12373) should be placed on top of the air jet valve.
- Stationary Mounting Option: The filter pump base has three mounting holes for securing it to the ground or a base in an upright position. For model 604G, these holes form a triangle pattern with 135mm between each other. For model 638G, the holes form a triangle pattern with 145mm between each other. The holes are slotted with a 7mm width. The pump can be mounted on a cement base or wooden structure, requiring M6 hexagon lock-nuts and M6 hexagon head bolts.
- Pool Care and Chemicals: Regular cleaning of the filter and proper chemical balance are crucial. The manual advises consulting a pool supply dealer for chemical recommendations. Daily pH checking and chemical treatment are important. The first filling of the pool may require extra water additives. Concentrated chlorine solutions can damage the pool liner.

The filter housing cover (3) and collar (13) are then removed to access the cartridge. The cartridge can be cleaned with a garden hose.
