Why is my Intex ECO15230-1 not pumping water or has very slow flow?
    • S
      Scott FullerNov 21, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool Pump isn't pumping water or the flow is very slow, start by checking for clogs in the inlet or discharge and clear any obstructions. Inspect the intake line for air leaks, and tighten hose nuts, check the hoses for damage, and ensure the pool water level is adequate. Clean the pre-filtering basket more often if the pool is excessively dirty. Backwash the filter if the sand media is clogged with dirt. Ensure that the nozzle is at the upper position of the pool inlet, and the strainer is at the lower position of the pool outlet. If there's crusting or caking on the filtering sand surface, remove about 1” of sand if necessary. Also, remove any pool vacuuming device attached to the system line and confirm the inlet threaded air connector is connected to the pool inl...

Why is my Intex Swimming Pool 6-way valve/cover leaking?
    • M
      matthewhuertaAug 25, 2025
A leaking 6-way valve cover could be due to a missing sand tank o-ring, so remove the 6-way valve cover and make sure the o-ring is in place. It could also be that the sand tank o-ring is dirty, in that case clean it with garden hose water. Another cause could be that the flange clamp is not tight, so tighten it securely.

How to fix Intex ECO15230-1 Swimming Pool Pump filter motor that fails to start?
    • S
      showellAug 27, 2025
If the filter motor of your Intex Swimming Pool Pump fails to start, ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. If the RCD circuit breaker has tripped, reset it. If it trips repeatedly, there may be an electrical defect requiring an electrician. If the motor is too hot, let it cool down before restarting.

What to do if my Intex ECO15230-1 Swimming Pool Pump filter doesn't clean the pool?
    • M
      Melissa WhiteAug 28, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool Pump isn't cleaning the pool effectively, ensure proper chlorine and pH levels by consulting your local swimming pool supply store. If there is no filtering media in the tank, load it with filter sand. Make sure the 6-way valve is set to the “FILTER” position. For an excessively dirty pool, operate the filter for longer periods. Clean the basket if there is dirt or sand on the pool floor.

What to do if my Intex Swimming Pool inlet threaded air connector / air jet valve is leaking?
    • T
      Tamara YangSep 17, 2025
If the air connector or air jet valve is leaking, first ensure the plunger valve is well-fitted by tightening or reinstalling it. Also, check that the air jet valve is tight and facing up. If the air jet valve internal seal is locked, turn the pump ON and run for a few seconds, then turn OFF, repeat 3 times. Should the air jet valve internal seal be dirty, remove the air jet valve, flush dirt out with water and replace the valve back.

Why are there white flakes in my Intex Swimming Pool water?
    • J
      Joshua SandersSep 5, 2025
If there are white flakes in the water of your Intex Swimming Pool, drain about 20 to 25% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the calcium hardness. Inspect the electrolytic cell for scale buildup, and clean the electrolytic cell if necessary.
