How to troubleshoot Intex 26648 filter motor that fails to start?
    • C
      Carla PeckAug 16, 2025
If the Intex Swimming Pool Pump filter motor fails to start, ensure the line cord is plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. Also, reset the GFCI/RCD circuit breaker; if it trips repeatedly, there may be an electrical system defect requiring an electrician. If the motor is too hot, let it cool down before restarting.

What to do if my Intex 26648 Swimming Pool Pump doesn't pump water or flow is very slow?
    • J
      Julie BarnettAug 21, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool Pump doesn't pump water or the flow is very slow, first check for any clogs in the inlet or discharge and clear any obstructions. Then, look for air leaks on the intake line and tighten hose nuts, inspect hoses for damage, and verify the pool water level. Clean the pre-filtering basket more often if the pool is excessively dirty. Backwash the filter if the sand media is clogged with dirt. Ensure the nozzle is at the upper position of the pool inlet and the strainer at the lower position of the pool outlet. If there's crusting on the filtering sand surface, remove about 1 inch of sand if necessary. Also, remove any pool vacuuming device attached to the system line. Finally, ensure the inlet threaded air connector is connected to the pool inlet upper hole.

      Philip LopezAug 27, 2025
If the inlet threaded air connector or air jet valve on your Intex Swimming Pool Pump is leaking, tighten or reinstall the plunger valve. Ensure the air jet valve is tight and facing up. If the air jet valve internal seal is blocked, turn the pump ON for a few seconds, then turn it OFF, and repeat 3 times. If the air jet valve internal seal is dirty, remove the air jet valve, flush dirt out with water, and replace the valve back. If the air jet valve is broken, replace it with a new one.
