What to do if my Intex Krystal Clear SF10220 Water Pump filter motor fails to start?
    • M
      manningkevinAug 15, 2025
First, ensure the line cord is plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. Check your fuse box and reset the circuit breaker. If it trips repeatedly, turn it off and call an electrician. Also, the motor may be too hot; let it cool down before restarting.

What to do if my Intex Krystal Clear SF10220 doesn't pump water or the flow is very slow?
    • M
      Matthew DixonAug 18, 2025
If your filter isn't pumping water or the flow is slow, start by clearing any obstructions in the intake hose. Tighten hose nuts and check for damage to fix any air leaks on the intake line. Clean the pre-filtering basket more often if the pool is excessively dirty. Backwash the filter if the sand media is clogged with dirt. Ensure the nozzle and strainer connections are correctly installed, with the nozzle at the upper position of the pool inlet and the strainer at the lower position of the pool outlet. If there's crusting or caking on the filtering sand surface, remove about 1 inch of sand if necessary. Also, remove any pool vacuuming device attached to the system line.

    • F
      flemingtammyAug 21, 2025
Check the water level and fill the pool to the correct level. Clean the strainer screens at the pool inlet. Tighten the hose nuts and inspect the hose for any damage to eliminate air leaks on the intake hose.

What to do if sand is flowing back into the pool from my Intex Water Pump?
    • B
      Benjamin JohnsAug 25, 2025
If sand is flowing back into the pool, it could be due to the sand being too small. Use only No. 20 silica sand with a particle size range of 0.4 to 0.8 mm (0.016 to 0.031 inches) and a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75. Alternatively, the sand bed may be calcified, in which case you should change the sand.

What to do if my Intex Water Pump 6-way valve or cover is leaking?
    • J
      jcarterAug 28, 2025
Remove the 6-way valve cover and ensure the sand tank o-ring is in place. Clean the sand tank o-ring with garden hose water if it's dirty. Tighten the clamp with the wrench supplied if the flange clamp is not tight.

Why is my Intex Krystal Clear SF10220 Water Pump timer inaccurate, or why can't it be set?
    • R
      Richard SmithAug 31, 2025

What to do if the pressure gauge on my Intex Krystal Clear SF10220 Water Pump doesn’t work?
    • K
      Kathy HendersonSep 4, 2025
If the pressure gauge isn't working, clear any obstructions in the intake by unscrewing it from the 6-way valve.
  • V
    Veronica MaysSep 6, 2025
Why is my Intex Krystal Clear SF10220 filter not cleaning the pool?
    • J
      Jim HendrixSep 7, 2025
The filter might not be cleaning your pool due to several reasons. Check if the chlorine or pH levels are improper and adjust them accordingly. Ensure the filter tank is loaded with filter sand according to the sand loading instructions. Verify that the 6-way valve is set to the 'FILTER' position. If the pool is excessively dirty, operate the filter for longer periods. Also, clean the strainer screen at the inlet to ensure it's not restricting water flow.
