MAINTENANCE AND CHEMICALS
Water Sanitation
Thespaownermustregularlycheckandkeepthespawatersanitizedwithscheduledmaintenance(daily,if
necessary).Addingsanitizerandotherchemicalwillcontrolbacteriaandvirusespresentinthespawater.
Themaintenanceofaproperwaterbalancethroughappropriateuseofsanitizersisthesinglemostimportant
factorinmaximizingthelifeandappearanceofthespatubaswellasensuringclean,healthyandsafewater.
Propertechniqueisimportantforwatertestingandtreatingthespawater.Seeyourpool/spaprofessionalfor
chemical,sanitizer,testkitsandtestingproceduresquestions.

ALWAYSFOLLOWTHECHEMICALMANUFACTURER’SDIRECTIONS,ANDTHEHEALTHANDHAZARD
WARNINGS.
Do not add chemicals if the spa is occupied. This can cause skin or eye irritation.Concentratedchlorine
solutionscandamagethespatub.InnoeventisIntexRecreationCorp.,IntexDevelopmentCo.Ltd.,their
relatedcompanies,authorizedagentsandservicecenters,retailersoremployeesliabletothebuyeroranyother
party for costs associated with the loss of spa water, chemicals or water damage.
Maintenance of Spa Water and Cartridge
Protectallthespaoccupantsfrompossiblewater-relatedillnessesbykeepingthespawatercleanandsanitized.
Alwayspracticegoodhygiene.Toensureproperspawaterqualityfollowtheseprocedures:
1. Inspectandcleantheltercartridgeonceaweek,andchangethelter
cartridge as needed.
a. Unscrewthecartridgehousingassemblyfromthespatubwalland
removethecartridge(see drawing 13).
b. Useagardenhosetorinseoffthecartridge.Ifthecartridgeremains
soiledanddiscoloreditshouldbereplaced.Keepsparecartridges
on hand.
c. Reinstallthecleancartridgebackintothecartridgehousingand
replacethecartridgehousingassemblybackontothespatubwall.
2. Changethespawaterevery2~3months,oritbecomescloudyandproper
waterchemistrydoesnotclearitup.See“SpaTubDrainage”and“Spa
TubCleaning”sectionsfordetails.
3. Usespachemicalstomaintainproperwaterchemistry.Spadamage
resulting from misuse of chemicals and mismanagement of spa water
isnotcoveredbythewarranty.
4. Alloccupantsmustshowerbeforeenteringthespa.
Water Chemistry Balance
MaintainthespawaterpHlevelbetween7.2and7.8,totalalkalinitylevelbetween80and120ppmandfree
chlorinelevelbetween3to5ppm.Usetheincluded3-wayteststripstotestthespawaterchemistrybeforeeach
useofthespaandcontinuetotestthewaternolessthanonceaweek.
The3-WayTestStripscantestthe“FreeChlorine”,“pH”,and“TotalAlkalinity”levelsatthesametime:
1. Diptheentirestripintothewaterandremoveimmediately.
2. Holdthestriplevelfor15seconds.Donotshakeexcesswaterfromthestrip.
3. Comparethestrippadtothecolorchartonthepackaginglabel.Ifnecessary,adjustthechemicallevel
in the pool water.
NOTE:Checktheexpirydateofthetestkitasthetestresultsmaybeinaccurateifthekitisusedafterthatdate.
LowpHwilldamagethespatubandpump.Damageresultingfromchemicalimbalanceisnotcoveredbythe
warranty.
Usetheincludedchemicaloaterdispensertoadministerchlorine[chemicaltabletsize:lessthan1.5”(3.8cm)
diameter]intothespawater.Alwaysfollowthechemicalmanufacturer’sdirections.Removethechemicaloater
dispenser when the spa is in use.
Neverletchlorinecomeincontactwiththespatubifitisnotcompletelydissolved.Likewisewithliquidchlorine;
mixitimmediatelyandthoroughlywiththespawater.
IMPORTANT: Pressthebuttononthespacontrolpaneltoturnonthebubbleairblowerandhelpdissolve
the chemicals into the water.
Nevermixchemicalstogether.Addthechemicalstothespawaterseparately.Thoroughlydissolveeach
chemical before adding another one to the water.
WARNING
Alwaysunplugthisproductfromtheelectricaloutletbeforeremoving,cleaning,servicingor
makinganyadjustmenttotheproduct.
