  If there is a small leak from the air jet valve when the pump is on, remove all accessories (such as solar mat, auto pool cleaner, LED light) from the water circulation line and place the air jet valve cap over the air jet valve. Do not cover the air jet valve with the valve cap under normal situation or when the pump is operating.

  If the inlet threaded air connector or air jet valve is leaking, try tightening or reinstalling the plunger valve. Ensure the air jet valve is tight and facing up. If the internal seal is blocked, turn the pump on for a few seconds, then off, and repeat three times. If the seal is dirty, remove the air jet valve, flush out dirt with water, and replace the valve. If the valve is broken, replace it with a new one.

Use only No. 20 silica sand with a particle size range of 0.45 to 0.85 mm (0.018 to 0.033 inches) and a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75. Alternatively, the sand bed may be calcified, in which case you should change the sand.
