1.Pullontherearwheeltocheckthattheremovableaxle
isseatedcorrectly.Thewheelshouldnotcomeoff.
2.Iftherearwheelsarenotengagedproperly,remove
anydirtordeposits.Iftheproblempersists,havethe
removableaxlesre-ttedbyaqualiedtechnician.
Checkposturebelt
1.Checkthattheposturebeltisadjustedcorrectly.
IMPORTANT!
–Looseposturebeltsmustbeadjustedbyan
authorizedprovider.
–Damagedposturebeltsmustbereplacedby
aqualiedtechnician.
Checkthefoldingmechanism
1.Checkthatthefoldingmechanismiseasyoperating.
Checkthecastors
1.Checkthatthecastorsturnfreely.
2.Removeanydirtorhairfromthecastorbearings.
3.Faultyorwornoutcastorsmustbereplacedbya
qualiedtechnician.
Checkthebolts
Boltscanworkloosethroughconstantuse.
1.Checkthattheboltsaretightsecurelyandwithoutfree
play(onthefootrest,castor,castorhousing,seatcover,
sides,backrest,frame,seatmodule).
2.Tightenanylooseboltswiththesuitabletorque.
ThereforerefertotheServiceManual,availableonthe
internetatwww.invacare.eu.com.
IMPORTANT!
Self-lockingscrews/nutsorthread-locking
adhesiveareusedforseveralconnections.If
theseareloosened,theymustbereplacedby
newself-lockingscrews/nutsortheymustbe
securedusingnewthread-lockingadhesive.
–Self-lockingscrews/nutsmustbereplacedby
aqualiedtechnician.
Checkthespoketension
Thespokesshouldnotbelooseordistorted.
1.Loosespokesmustbetightenedbyaqualied
technician.
2.Brokenspokesmustbereplacedbyaqualied
technician.
Checktheparkingbrakes
1.Checkthattheparkingbrakesarepositionedcorrectly.
Thebrakeissetcorrectlyifthebrakeshoedepressesthe
tyrebyafewmillimeterswhenthebrakeisengaged.
2.Ifyoundthatthesettingisnotcorrect,havethe
brakescorrectlyadjustedbyaqualiedtechnician.
