Storage with Time Interval
Press MODE for two seconds to obtain “MMOD”. Press ↑ key to select “INT”. Press
ENT, and press MODE once to obtain the time interval. Press → key to select digit,
press↑ key to set the value (values from 1 second to 2 hours 0.00.01 to 2.00.00) Press
ENT and press MODE for two seconds to obtain the measurement screen. Press MEM
key to activate storage. Press MEASURE and the interval measurement will start.
Press MEM to temporary stop storage. Press MEM to restart.
Display of Data
Press MODE for two seconds to obtain “MMOD”. Press MODE to display the
temperature data stored. The digit on the left of the screen is the storage number. Digits
on the right are the temperature data stored. The data stored last is displayed first.
The message “No Data” appears if no data has been stored. A maximum of 1000 data
points can be stored. Data exceeding 1000 points cannot be stored and “F” is
displayed.
Deletion of Last Stored Data
Press MODE two seconds to obtain “MMOD”. Press MODE to obtain LDDEL, YES or
NO. Press → key, shift cursor to YES and press ENT. This deletes last data stored.
Display shows “XXX ERASED”. XXX is the data point erased. Press MODE to cancel
additional deletions.
Delete All Stored Data
Press MODE for two seconds to display “MMOD”. Press MODE to obtain “ADDEL YES
NO”. Press → key to select YES or NO. Press ENT to select YES. Press ENT, screen
“ALL ERASED”. Press MODE for two seconds to close data deletion.
Note: LLDEL is for the single point erasure and ADDEL is for an erasure of all points at
one time.)
Calibration
The instrument can be calibrated by using a Blackbody. The Blackbody must have an
aperture two times the diameter of the smallest optical spot resolved by the sensor. The
sensor must be placed on a tripod.
Press ON/OFF while pressing MODE. Press MODE key twice to get ZERO/SPAN
calibration execution screen. “CMP GO NO”. Press ↑ key, select GO. Press ENT to set
zero calibration. Note: The filters and emissivity are turned off automatically during the
calibration. While viewing the Blackbody, use the ↑ and → keys to set in the
temperature displayed on the Blackbody. Press ENT to store calibration data. As a
confirmation an * will appear beside the zero value. (Zero*XXX) XXX+ the temperature
of the Blackbody. Note: The zero point value should be as close as possible to the zero
scale of the instrument, but no greater than +200°C above the zero point of the
instrument.
To obtain span (upper temperature point) , press MODE to obtain the screen “SPAN XXX.
With the ↑and → keys, enter the temperature of the Blackbody and press ENT. To
calibrate the upper temperature point you multiply the span of the instrument by 0.5
and add this value to the zero point used for calibration. Example for UX 20P: If you
used 600°C as the zero calibration and the span is 2400°C, then the upper calibration
point must exceed 1800°C. (2400°C X 0.5 = 1200°C + 600°C= 1800°C).
