Most
gas
appliances are only operated intermittently. Unless there
is
heavy use of hot water, water heater consumption
is
not too
great. During freezing weather and high wind conditions, furnace
consumption can
be
extremely heavy.
L.P.-gas
consumption depends upon individual
use
of
appliances
and the length of time operated. Each
gallon
of
L.P.-gas
produces
about
91,500
BTU's
of
heat energy. Following is
a
list
of typical
appliance consumption when turned full on for one hour of
opera
tion:

USING
THE
AUTOMATIC
CHANGEOVER
REGULATOR
(For
Optional
Double
Bottles Only)
A
use.fu1 accessory
is
an automatic change over regulator.
This
apparatus allows both
gas
bottles to
be
turned on simultaneously.
The
arrow
on the
regulator handle indicates whiclr bottle
is
in
service. When the indicated bottle in service becomes empty,
changeover
is
auton-larically accomplished
to
commence
drawing
fuel
from the other bottle. At this
point,
the
plastic
window will
display a
red
signal or
flag
lo
indicntc
thc
condition. You
should
then
flip
the Icver over to indicate
service
on
ihc
othcr bottle. The
first
bottle which was depicted can
then
bc
turned
off,
uncoupled
and
taken
:o
be
refilled
without
disturbing
the
R.V.
gas
supply.
After
rcfiliing, it can
be
remounted
and
again
turned
to
ihc
"On"
position. Wlien the other hottlc
is
deplctcd,
thc
t.P.-gas
supply
will
again
be
automatically
changcd
over.
