Overview

This document is an operating and maintenance manual for JETFIRE Electric Space Heaters, specifically models E3, E10, E15, E22, and E30. These heaters are designed for industrial use and space heating only, not for domestic use. They are manufactured in Italy for Spitwater Australia Pty Ltd T/A Ottico Equipment.

Function Description

JETFIRE heaters are portable industrial electric space heaters designed for heating, drying, and desiccating in commercial and industrial applications such as warehouses, factories, animal husbandry, and greenhouses. They operate by drawing air from the environment with a fan, heating it using armour-plated resistance, and then releasing the heated air back into the environment. The units are constructed from steel sheets with a double wall to enhance efficiency and limit external wall temperatures. They are designed for floor use only.

Usage Features

The heaters are equipped with a control board that includes:

  • Room Thermostat (1): To set the desired temperature.
  • Overheating Thermostat Manual Reset (2): A safety feature that stops power in case of overheating.
  • Main Switch (3): For turning the unit on/off and selecting operating modes.
  • Power Switch (4): To select electric power output (minimum or maximum heating).
  • Lamp (5): Indicates operation.
  • Room Thermostat Plug (6) (for Mod. 30 kW): Allows connection to an external room thermostat or timer.

Operating Instructions (Mod. 3 kW):

  1. Start: Press the main switch (3) to start the fan immediately. Turn the room thermostat knob (1) to the desired temperature to activate the electric heaters.
  2. Power Selection: Use the power switch (4) to select minimum or maximum heating.
  3. Shutdown: Turn the room thermostat knob (1) to the minimum temperature to turn off heating elements while the fan continues. Press the main switch (3) to stop the fan.

Operating Instructions (Mod. 10 kW / 15 kW / 22 kW / 30 kW):

  1. Heating Mode Start: Turn the main switch knob (3) to position 'a' for minimum power or 'b' for maximum power. The fan starts immediately, and heating elements heat up gradually. Turn the room thermostat knob (1) to the desired temperature; the electric heaters will run until the set temperature is reached, and the lamp (5) will light up.
  2. Heating Mode Shutdown: Turn the room thermostat knob (1) to the minimum temperature to shut down heating elements while the fan continues. Turn the main switch knob (3) to position 'd' for complete shutdown; the fan runs until heating elements have cooled down sufficiently, then stops. These models feature an automatic power-off cooling ventilation function.
  3. Ventilation Mode (without heating) Start: Turn the main switch knob (3) to position 'c'.
  4. Ventilation Mode Shutdown: Turn the main switch knob (3) to position 'd'.
