c) Processors without JOBO-Lift,
tanks 25
X1
Attention: pour the chemicals quickly,
using a funnel, put on push-on cap, and
couple the tank immediately to magnet
drive on the processor.
It is recommended to use a lift, when
processing roll and sheet films.
Information on processing
The special characteristics of JOBO rotary
tanks permit the use of standard chemical
solutions. No special formulas for rotary
processing are needed.
Set the rotation speed for all processors
with rpm indication to 75. For CPA-2 and
CPP-2 to "P", and for CPE-2 to speed 2.
For B/W films, pre-rinse in water for 5
minutes, then follow the chemical
instructions for hand inversion times.
Generally, the processing times,
temperature and solution capacities given
by the chemical manufacturers apply. To
achieve uniform results, processing times
for B/W should be longer than 5 minutes.
The filling quantities specified by JOBO
are sufficient for E-6 and C-41 processing.
B/W chemicals may require higher
volumes since many developers are
diluted for 1-shot use.
Always test for correct processing when
using a new combination of tank, film,
chemicals and film stock, before
committing "final" images to the process.
Processing
a) Processors with a JOBO-Lift,
tanks 25
X3
Couple the tank to the processor with
the JOBO-Lift. Pour the solutions into
the top of the lift during rotation.
Speed: rpm 75
CPE Setting 2
CPE/P Setting P
When draining chemicals from the
tank, raise and lower the lift as the
processor changes rotation direction.
When the processing time is
completed, gently but firmly raise the
lift lever until it touches the stop pin
and let the solutions flow out. (Do not
try to lock the lift lever past the stop
pin). After the solutions have stopped
flowing out the drain hose, lower the
lift and pour in the next process step.
Repeat until all process steps are
completed.
After the process, remove the film
from the reels and immerse it in a
stabilizer bath (or wetting agent for
black and white processes). Avoid
getting these solutions on the reel or
in the tanks. Clean and dry the tanks,
lids, light traps and reels before using
again.
b) Autolabs, tanks 25
X3
Couple the tank to the lift arm, press
the start button, and the process runs
automatically.
