Insert a paper clip into plunger.
Remove the pin
and
washer from the actuator
cam
link. Disengage the link from the shift actua-
tor cam.

Remove the ground lead from the powerhead.
Using
Special 1/2
in.
Box Wrench,
PIN
322700,
remove port and starboard powerhead retaining
nuts with washers.

REMOVAL - 25/30

Remove the four screws retaining the powerhead
to the exhaust housing.

Move the powerhead sideways to break the gas-
ket
loose and remove from midsection. Remove
the inner exhaust tube from the powerhead.

Gasket
Place the powerhead
in
a suitable holding fixture
and remove
all carburetor, ignition, and electrical
components from the powerhead.
To
simplify
reassembly
and wiring installation,
layout
the var-
ious screws and
clamps
in
order of their proper
location.
