BEEP (BEEP) --- MENU 03:
Description: Set the keypad beep, operating error or fault.
Options: OFF/ON.
Default: ON.
TRANSMISSION TIMER (TOT) --- MENU 04:
Description: Sets the time limit for each transmission.
Options: OFF/15-900 seconds, 15 seconds by step.
Default: 60 seconds.
SQUELCH LEVEL (SQL) --- MENU 05:
Description: Set the squelch level to reduce the background noise. The higher level, the
stronger the signal needs to be received.
Options: 0-9 levels.
Default: Level 5.
VOICE PROMPT (VOICE) --- MENU 06:
Description: Set the voice prompt for the radio operation.
Options: You can select OFF or the language displayed on the LCD.
Default: ENGLISH.
BUSY CHANNEL LOCKOUT (BCL) --- MENU 07:
Description: When turn on this function; the transmission is prohibited while a valid signal
is received.
Options: OFF/ON.
Default: OFF.
CHANNEL NAME (CH-NAME) --- MENU 08:
Description: Allows setting the name for the channel.
Options: 26 upper case letters, 0-9 numbers, special characters.
Default: No channel name.
Channel name editing method:
1. Editing via the programming software (consult your salesperson).
2. Editing via the radio keypad.
Editing via the radio's keypad:
With the radio in standby mode, press the [MENU] key to enter the settings menu, and
press the [
▲] / [▼] key to select menu 8 “CH-NAME”. Press [MENU] key to enter channel
name editing, press [▲] / [▼] key to scroll through 26 capital letters, numbers 0-9, and
special characters. Press the [PF2] key to select the previous digit to edit and press the
side [PF3] key to select the next digit to edit. Press the [MENU] key to confirm the channel
name editing.
CHANNEL MEMORY (CH-MEM) --- MENU 09:
Description: Shows the number of programmed channels.
