4.1 Moving a truck with a rotary seat (o) without its own power system
– Move the lever (4) to the left to the
“release spring-loaded accumulator
brake” position.
– Move the pump lever (5) up and down
until the spring loaded piston has
extended to the end (approx. 20 -
25 mm). The drive wheels are no
longer blocked / braked by the spring-
loaded brake. The foot brake however
remains fully functional.
F
Before the driver leaves the truck with
the spring-loaded brake released, the
truck must be prevented from
accidentally rolling away using suitable
means.
M
Before starting the truck again with power supply, the lever (4) must be reset to the
right in the “travel” position. The truck can only operate in the travel position.
5 Towing the truck
– Attach the tow rod / rope to the attachment coupling on the recovery truck and the
truck to be recovered.
– Disconnect the battery (note item 3!)
– Release the parking brake.
F
One person must be seated on the towed truck in order to steer. Tow away the truck
at creep speed.
Z
As the steering auxiliary unit is not applied, additional effort is required to steer the
truck.
M
With electrical steering (o) the truck cannot be steered. Inform the manufacturer’s
service department to have the truck towed away.
