Fade-Standby
mode

Start/Stop
button
is
released.

This

"Cinema"
mode
recording
function
which
allows
you
to
record
black
bars
at
the
top
and
bottom
of
the
screen
to
produce
a
cinema-like
"wide-screen"
effect.
To
engage
the
Cinema
mode:
Press
CINEMA.
To
restore
the
normai
screen:
Press
CINEMA
again.
Notes:
The
Cinema
mode
can
be
engaged
only
in
the
Record-
Pauce
of
Record
mode.

mode
is
not
available
when
PROGRAM
AE
is
set
to
"AUTO
MODE
LOCK".

Useful
tip:
It
is
helpful
to
connect
your
VideoMovie
to
a
color
monitor
when
adjusting
the
white
balance.
SWHITE-BALANCE
ADJUSTMENT.
This
VideoMovie’s
Automatic
Color
Temperature
system
senses
the
color
temperature
of
the
ambient
lighting
for
automatic
white
balance
adjustment.
However,
precise
color
temperature
adjustment
is
not
possible
under
the
following
conditions:

The
object
is
in
various
shades
of
the
same
color.

Predominantly
red
or
brown
object
is
being
shot
outdoors.
In
these
cases,
use
the
VideoMovie's
built-in
preset
filters
for
white
balance
adjustment.

How
to
use
the
MWB
mode
In
the
MWB
mode,
the
VideoMovie
automatically
adjusts
the
color
temperature
of
the
subject's
light
source
and
keeps
that
color
temperature
during
shooting.
When
shooting
some
subjects
with
different
color
temperatures,
use
the
MWB
mode
to
set
a
color
temperature
and
you
can
shoot
with
natural
colors
that
are
not
affected
by
surroundings.

until
“MWB”
appears
in
the
viewfinder.

Point
the
VideoMovie
at
a
white,
flat
object
such
as
a
sheet
of
white
paper.

focus
manually.
