This Self-Timer function allows you to set the amount
of time delay before recording staris after Star/Stop
has been pressed. If the VideoMovie has been
secured, the operator can enter the picture before
actual recording begins.
Hl Put the VideoMovie into the Record-Pause mode.
Press INT. TIME to select the interval time.
—The following sequence of time setting is
displayed with each press of INT. TIME:

aif the VideoMovie's PROGRAM AE is set to
""(Self-Timer mode), the 15S mode will be
selected.
Press START/STOP.
@ When the selected time has elapsed, recording
begins automatically.
= When performing Self-Timer shooting, the tally
lamp will start blinking approximately 10 seconds
before the actual recording begins. Then when
recording starts, the lamp lights normally to
indicate recording is in progress.
To release the Selff-Timer mode:
When "-" ts not blinking:
Press INT. TIME continuously until” &)" goes off.
When "-" is blinking:
Press Start/Stop to stop the blinking, then press INT.
TIME continuously until" ©)" goes off.
= Turning the power olf and on once engages the regular
Record-Pause mode.

The Animation function produces the illusion of
movement in otherwise stationary scenes or objects.
This technique is accomplished by shooting a series of
slightly different pictures of the same scene or slightly
different poses of the same object for a brief period of
time.
I Set SP/EP to "SP".
Put the VideoMovie in the Record-Pause made.
Press REC TIME to select the recording time.

displayed with each press of REC TIME:

@ If the VideoMovie's PROGRAM AE is set to "%)"
(Self-Timer mode), Animation will be cancelled
and the VideoMovie will enter the Setf-Timer 15S
mode.
i Press START/STOP after focusing on the subject.
® Recording stops automatically in the Record-
Pause mode after the selected period of time.
Repeat steps EI-f9 for the required number of
pictures.
Gi Playback the recorded series to check if results
were satisfactory.
To release the Animation mode:
Press REC TiME until "tm" in the viewfinder
disappears.
& The Animation mode can only be engaged from the
Record-Pause mode.
Notes:
® Keep the VideoMovie steady in one position when
filming the series of shots for best results. Mounting
the VideoMovie on a tripod is recommended.
® Before recording in the Animation mode at the very
beginning of a tape, set the VideoMovie to the
Recording mode for about 5 seconds, so that the
tape runs smoothly. Using the Fade-in function at
this point is a good way to begin an animated
program.
® Fade-in/out is not possible during Animation or
Time-Lapse shooting.
@ When shooting in the Animation mode, the elapsed
time counter reading may be incorrect. This is not
due to any defect of the unit.
