The PEAK LEVEL indicator lights when the
MONITOR switch is set to SOURCE (-—)
even during record muting according to the
input level which can be heard from the
speakers or headphones so that recording can
be resumed at the exact point on the tape.
MONITOR switch
Since the KD-V6 is a three-head deck with separate
record and play heads, the sound from the source
can easily be compared with that recorded on the
tape by switching this switch.
A. Source monitoring
Set to SOURCE (-=) to monitor the sound from
the source. The PEAK LEVEL METER and
DIGITAL PEAK indicator show the level of the
input signal; adjust the recording level while
monitoring the source.
B. Tape monitoring
Set to TAPE ( m ) to monitor the signal picked
up by the play head after it has been recorded on
the tape. In this way you can check whether it
has deteriorated because of dirt on the head, etc.
Set to this position when playing back tape.

Ist der MONITOR-Schalter auf die SOURCE-Position
(=) eingestellt, leuchtet die PEAK LEVEL-Anzeige.
Auch bei Stummaufnahmeschaitung kann auf Grund
der Uber Lautsprecher oder Kopfhérer mdéglichen Ein-
gangspegel-Aufnahmetiberwachung die Aufnahme an der
vorgesehenen Bandstelie exakt fortgesetzt werden.
Monitorschalter (MONITOR)
Da das KD-V6 ein Dreikopf-Deck mit voneinander unab-
hdngigem Aufnahme und Wiedergabekopf ist, kann der
Ton der Signalquelle durch Umschalten dieses Schalters
mit dem aufgenommenen Ton verglichen werden.
A. Signalquellen-Uberwachung
Auf die SOURCE-Position (=) einstellen. PEAK LEVEL
METER und DIGITAL PEAK-Anzeige gegeben den Ein-
gangspegel wieder. Bei dieser Schalterposition den Auf-
nahme pegel einstellen.
B. Uberwachung des aufgenommenen Signals
In der TAPE-Position (mg) wird das jeweils gerade auf-
genommene Signal Uber den Wiedergabekopf wiederge-
geben. Auf diese Weise kOnnen Qualitatsveranderungen
der Aufnahme (z.B. auf Grund eines verschmutzten Ton-
kopfes) sofort festgestellt werden. Diese Schalterposition
ist fur die Wiedergabe von Bandaufnahmen vorgesehen.

MONITOR-Schalter
L‘indicateur de niveau de crétes (PEAK LEVEL) s’allume
quand le commutateur MONITOR est placé sur SOURCE
{= J), méme pendant I’enregistrement silencieux, selon
le niveau d’entrée qui est audible 4 partir des enceintes
ou du casque d‘écoute, pour pouvoir arréter lenregistre-
ment en temps voulu.
Commutateur de contrdle (MONITOR)
Du fait que le KD-V6 est a trois tétes séparées pour I’enre-
gistrement et la lecture, le son de la source peut facilement
étre comparé avec celui enregistré sur la bande avec ce
commutateur.
A. Contréle de source
Placer sur SOURCE (=. ) pour contréler le son de la source.
Le compteur PEAK LEVEL et Iindicateur DIGITAL PEAK
indiquent le niveau du signal d’entrée; régler le niveau d’en-
registrement tout en contrélant la source.
B. Contréle de la bande
Placer sur TAPE ( m.) pour contr6ler le signal recueilli par
la téte de lecture aprés qu’il a été enregistré sur la bande.
De cette maniére, vous pouvez vérifier s‘il a été détérioré par
de la poussiére sur /a téte etc. Le placer sur cette position
lors de la lecture d’une bande. :
