Use as a sleep timer
This function works in conjunction with the Auto
Stop mechanism and is used when you wish to
listen to the radio, make a recording or play back
a tape while in bed. The time at which the sleep
timer operates depends on the length of the
cassette tape.
Sleep timer switch-off time
C-60 about 30 min.
C-90
about 45 min.
A. To go to sleep while listening to the radio
After performing the operational steps 1 — 7
in the section ‘RADIO RECEPTION” foad a
cassette into the cassette holder and press the
PLAY button.
Then, turn the FUNCTION STAND-BY switch
to the OFF/SLEEP position.
When the tape reaches its end, the power is
turned off automatically.
B. To go to sleep while recording from the radio
After performing the operational steps 1 — 7
in the section “RADIO RECEPTION” load a
cassette into the cassette holder and press the
REC button.
Then, turn the FUNCTION STAND-BY switch
to the OFF/SLEEP position.
When the tape reaches its end, the power is
turned off automatically.
C. To go to sleep while listening to a tape.

Nachdem Sie die Bedienschritte 1 — 7 (‘‘RADIOEMP-
FANG") ausgefiihrt haben, legen Sie eine Kassette in den
Kassettenhalter ein und drucken den Wiedergabeknopf
(PLAY).
Dann stellen Sie den FUNCTION STAND-BY-Schalter
auf OFF/SLEEP.
Wenn das Bandende erreicht ist, wird das Gerat auto-
matisch ausgeschaltet.
B. Zum Aufnehmen vom Radio vor dem Einschlafen
Nachdem Sie die Bedienschritte 1 — 7 (‘‘RADIOEMP-
FANG”’) ausgeftihrt haben, legen Sie eine Kassette in den
Kassettenhalter und driicken den Aufnahmeknopf (REC).
Dann stellen Sie den FUNCTION STAND-BY-Schalter
auf OFF/SLEEP.
Wenn das Bandende erreicht ist, wird das Gerat auto-
matisch ausgeschaltet.
C. Zum Ho6ren eines Bandes vor dem Einschlafen
Nachdem Sie die Bedienschritte fiir die WIEDERGABE
auf Seite 14 durchgefiihrt haben, stellen Sie den FUNC-
TION STAND-BY-Schalter auf OFF/SLEEP.
Wenn das Bandende erreicht ist, wird das Gerat auto-
matisch ausgeschaltet.
AUFNAHME
Utilisation de la minuterie de sommeil
Cette fonction marche conjointement avec le mécanisme
d‘arrét automatique et elle est utilisée pour écouter de la
musique ou I’enregistrer tout en étant dans son lit. Le
temps de fonctionnement de la minuterie est limité par la
longueur de bande.

Suivre les manoeuvres 1 a 7 dé puis mettre en place
une cassette dans le compartiment a cassette et appuyer
sur la touche de lecture (PLAY).
Régler I’interrupteur FUNCTION STAND-BY sur la
position OFF/SLEEP.
Lorsque la bande arrive en fin de course, l‘appareil se
met automatiquement hors service.
B. Arrét automatique de J’enregistrement 4 partir de la
radio
Suivre les manoeuvres 1 4 7 dé puis mettre en place une
cassette dans le compartiment 4 cassette et appuyer sur
la touche d’enregistrement (REC).
Régler I’interrupteur FUNCTION STAND-BY sur la
position OFF/SLEEP.
Lorsque la bande arrive en fin de course, I’appareil se
met automatiquement hors service.
C. Arrét automatique de la lecture de bande
Suivre les manaeuvres indiquées au chapitre REPRODUC-
TION, page 14, et régler I‘interrupteur FUNCTION
STAND-BY surla position OF F/SLEEP.
Lorsque la bande arrive en fin de course, l’appareil se
met automatiquement hors service.
