OSD LANGUAGE You can select “ENGLISH,” “GERMAN,” “FRENCH,” “CZECH,” “POLISH” or
HUNGARIAN” as the on-screen language.
AUDIO LANG
You can select the initial audio language for DVD Video. (See also page 40.)
SUBTITLE LANG
You can select the initial subtitle language for DVD Video. (See also page 40.)
MENU LANG
You can select the initial menu language for DVD Video. (See also page 40.)
DIVX [R] VOD
The System has its own Registration Code.
If necessary, you can confirm it.
Once you have played back a DivX file in which the Registration Code is recorded,
the System’s Registration Code is overwritten for copyright protection.
AUDIO OUT
Set this item correctly when using the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT terminal on the
rear.
SPDIF/OFF: Digital output is disabled.
SPDIF/RAW: Outputs compressed RAW audio stream to an external AC3 audio
decoder for audio decode.
SPDIF/PCM: Outputs PCM audio stream to an external PCM audio decoder.
3D PROCESSING
You can set the surround mode. (For details, see “To activate surround mode” on
page 14.)

BRIGHTNESS
You can adjust the brightness. (0 to 12)
CONTRAST
You can adjust the contrast. (0 to 12)
HUE
You can adjust the hue. (–6 to +6)
SATURATION
You can adjust the color depth. (0 to 12)
SHARPNESS
You can adjust the sharpness. (0 to 8)
DYNAMIC RANGE
You can select the Dynamic Range Compression (DRC) for night-time listening.
DRC reduces the difference between normal voices and the sound (such as the
sound of explosion).
The effect of DRC is as follows.

When “OFF” is selected, the effect is not available.
DUAL MONO
You can select the playback sound (channel) you want to while playing digital
software recorded (or broadcasted) in Dual Mono mode, which includes two
monaural channels separately.
