1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 General
Congratulations on choosing the FastMig X 450 welding equipment. Used correctly, Kemppi
products can signicantly increase the productivity of your welding, and provide years of
economical service.
This operating manual contains important information on the use, maintenance and safety of
your Kemppi product. The technical specications of the equipment can be found at the end
of the manual.
Please read the operating manual and the safety instructions booklet carefully before using
the equipment for the rst time. For your own safety and that of your working environment,
pay particular attention to the safety instructions in the manual.

1.2 About FastMig X 450
FastMig X 450 is a multi-purpose welding power source designed for demanding professional
use. It is suitable for synergic pulsed MIG/MAG, synergic 1-MIG and basic MIG/MAG welding,
as well as the modied WiseRoot+™ process. It can also be used as a welding power source for
MMA welding, and TIG welding is also available, when connected to MasterTig LT 250.
Control panel X 37 is included in the delivery for selecting, setting and managing the welding
system prior to and during system use.
FastMig X 450 oers a multi-process solution for a wide range of welding applications. Various
cable options, welding software options, remote control units and other accessories are
available for this product. Please see the list at the end of this manual.
