Why can't I turn off reverse on my Kenwood Transceiver?
If your Kenwood Transceiver's Reverse cannot be set to OFF, Shift may be set to ON. Setting Reverse to OFF in this state would set the frequency outside the allowable frequency band. Set Shift to OFF, then set Reverse to OFF.

If your Kenwood Transceiver's power isn't turning on with a Li-ion battery pack or AAA alkaline batteries, it could be due to a low battery voltage. Try recharging the battery pack or replacing the AAA alkaline batteries with new ones. Alternatively, the Li-ion battery's protective circuit might be activated. To resolve this, remove the Li-ion battery, reinstall it, and then try turning the power on again. Note that when both DC IN and the battery are connected, turning off the power of DC IN may restart the transceiver. This is not a malfunction.
