ADJUSTMENT
Resetting
- System (A-E5+X-E5) :
Press the [CCRS/CRLS] key or POWER key to turn
off the power.
- Unit (X-E5) :

Turn off the POWER switch of the power supply jig
or short No. 1 and No. 7 of (X28).
If the [CCRS/CRLS] key is pressed or No. 1 and No. 7
of CN9 (X28) are shorted to each other, TEST 1 is
selected.
Starting condition
Adjustment of playback/recording
lf the B-deck has half, the adjustment mode is ac-
cepted.
If the recording equalizer has been adjusted, only the
bias is adjusted. Only the channel(s) which has(have)
not been adjusted is(are) adjusted.
Normally, if the recording equalizer is adjusted, the
bias is set in the unadjusted condition.
If both recording equalizer and bias have been ad-
justed, the adjustment is finished without adjusting
anything.
if the B-deck does not have half or its playback has
not been adjusted, adjustment is judged to be ERR
and finished.
Writing after all adjustments are finished
. Writing of adjustment OK/ERR and outputting of se-
rial data.
After all the adjustments are finished, the operation
is stopped and the normal finish is indicated.
The data of the normal finish of the self-adjustment is
written in the E2PROM, then the serial code for nor-
mal finish (EO80H) is output every three seconds.
If the adjustment is finished abnormally, the adjust-
ment item having an error is indicated similarly to the
above.
The data of the abnormal finish of the self-adjust-
ment and the position where the adjustment stopped
are written in the E2PROM, then the serial code of
abnormally finished item (EO9xH) is output every
three seconds.
* Serial code at automatic adjustment
This serial code does not have meaning unless the
serial jig is connected. It is output, however, in either
system mode or unit mode.
