2.2 General safety notes
The manuals for the system and parts thereof as well as the maintenance
records and handover certificates must be kept available near the system.
The accident prevention regulations, the applicable national safety directives
as well as the regulations from the local energy and supply companies must
be observed during the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of the
system.
In addition, the safety regulations for explosion protection in technical waste-
water systems must be heeded. Explosion-protected variants of devices should
be installed in hazard zones, e.g. pumping stations and sewage treatment
plants, that are subject to the requirements of the public authority accident
insurance provider. Installation, electrical installation and initial operation may
only be carried out by specialist sta.
Isolate the system.
Ensure that the electrical components are disconnected from the
electrical power supply during the work.
WARNING! Live parts!
Heed the following points when working on electrical cables and
connections:
VDE 0100 applies for all electrical work on the system.
The system must be supplied via a residual current protection device (RCD)
with a rated fault current of no more than 30mA.
It must be ensured that the electric cables as well as all other electrical system
components are in a faultless condition. In case of damage, the system may on
no account be put into operation or must be stopped immediately.
CAUTION! Hot surfaces!
The drive motor can develop a high temperature during operation.
Wear protective gloves.
Transport risk/system's own weight!
Take into account the weight of the system / system components
(ca. 20kg).
Pay attention to correct lifting and ergonomic factors.
Do not use cranes to move the system.
Prescribed personal protective equipment.
During installation, maintenance and disposal at the system,
always wear protective equipment:
Protective clothing
Eye protection
Protective gloves
Safety footwear
