What to do in an emergency
For your safety, do not exceed a driving speed of approximately 80 km/h. If abnor
mal vibrations or noise occur during driving, reduce speed, park in a safe location,
and Call for road side service or towing to an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
When you use the Tyre Mobility Kit, the wheel may be stained by sealant. Therefore,
remove the wheel stained by sealant and have the vehicle inspected at a profes
sional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
If the inflation pressure is not maintained, drive the vehicle a second time, refer to
"Distributing the sealant" on page 732 . Then repeat steps 1 to 4.
Use of the TMK may be ineffectual for tyre damage larger than approximately 4
mm (0.16 inches).
We recommend that you contact a professional workshop if the tyre cannot be
made roadworthy with the Tyre Mobility Kit.
NOTE
Driving the vehicle after injecting the sealant into the tyre helps evenly spread the
sealant on the puncture area as the vehicle vibrates during driving.
The Tyre Mobility Kit is not designed or intended as a permanent tyre repair method
and is to be used for one tyre only.
The sealant seals the puncture area and maintains the tyre pressure with vibrations
and slight heat generated by the tyre.
After ensuring that the tyre is properly sealed, you can drive cautiously on the tyre
(for a distance of up to 200 km (120 miles)) at maximum speed of 80 km/h (50
mph) in order to reach a service station or a tyre dealer to have the tyre replaced.
Avoid abrupt steering or other driving manoeuvres if the vehicle is heavily loaded or
if a trailer is in use. For more details, refer to "Safe use of Tyre Mobility Kit" on page
734 .
