This model is powered by two replaceable AA batteries. It also contains HUSH

to
temporarily silence nuisance alarms, and “self-testing” features (see section 9).
Teach children how to respond to the alarm and that they should never play with the
unit. Your Kidde Smoke Alarm was designed for use in a residential environment. It
is not designed for use in a recreational vehicle (RV) or boat.
