The resin beads exchange hard water minerals for sodium ions, softening the water.
Salt brine cleans the resin bed, removing hardness minerals and restoring sodium ions.
Replace the in-line filter when water pressure begins to decrease.
Refill brine tank with high-quality salt/potassium chloride before water level drops below regenerant.
