Chain brake test โ non-manual chain brake
The non-manual chain brake stops the operation of the saw chain in such a manner
that the kickback action produced at the end of the guide bar non-manually engages
the chain brake.
To make sure that the non-manual chain brake operates properly, proceed as follows:
1. Stop the engine of the product.
2. Position a ๎at piece of wood beneath the chain saw.
3. Hold the front and rear handles with hands (grip them lightly), so that the guide bar
may be placed at the height of about 55 cm (Fig. 20).

55 cm
4. Slowly release the left hand from the front handle, allowing the end of the guide bar
to touch against the wood so that the product receives an impact (at this time the
rear handle should be gripped lightly with right hand).
5. The impact is transferred to the brake lever, which engages the chain brake.
Throttle trigger lock-out
The throttle trigger lock-out (9) prevents unintentional activation of the throttle trigger (11).
The throttle trigger can only be activated if the throttle trigger lock-out is pressed.
Chain catcher
The chain catcher (20) is intended to catch a torn saw chain (3) or saw chain which has
jumped out of the guide bar. Through regular maintenance of the guide bar and correct
and regular tensioning of the saw chain, accidents of this type can be prevented.
DANGER! Risk of injury! The product must only be put into operation if no
faults are found. If any safety equipment is defective, it must absolutely be
replaced before the next use.
