Fuse Service Check:
F8 = Motor Fuse
F9 = Small-triac Load Fuse
Check operation of loads during the Service Diagnostics cycle.
If any of the triac loads work, F9 Fuse is OK.

Resistance Check.”
If Wash Motor does not work, F8 Fuse could be open. See “Fuse
Resistance Check.”
Fuse Resistance Check:
1. Unplug the dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Measure resistance of F8 Fuse and/or F9 Fuse.
NOTE: Fuses are on the bottom of the Control Board but can be checked
from the top side. See “Control Pinout” diagram.
If resistance is <3

then fuse is open.
What To Do If Fuse Open:
Inspect and check resistance of all loads on fuse. If any loads are open,
shorted, or have evidence of overheating or pinched wires, replace them.

    How to turn off beeping on KitchenAid dishwasher?
    • M
      Mr. Russell CastroAug 16, 2025
      If your KitchenAid dishwasher beeps constantly, it might be due to these reasons: * **Cycle Interruption:** If you opened the door during a cycle and closed it without pressing Start/Resume, the dishwasher is designed to beep. To stop the beeping, open the door and/or press Start/Resume to continue the cycle. * **Normal Operation:** If the beeping is excessive, you can turn it off. Press and hold the Hi Temp key for 3 seconds until you hear a tone.

    • P
      Phillip RossAug 19, 2025
      If your KitchenAid dishwasher won't run and the LED for the Start/Resume key is blinking slowly, here's what it means: * **Cycle Interruption:** If the door is opened for more than 5 seconds or if power is interrupted during a cycle, you need to press the Start/Resume key to continue. Please refer to the Use and Care Guide. * **Unresponsive Key:** If the Start/Resume key isn't responding, see 'One or More Keys Won’t Respond.' * **Door Switch Issue:** The control might be detecting a problem with the door switch. Refer to the 'Service Error Codes' table.

    • Y
      Yolanda RichAug 27, 2025
      If your KitchenAid dishwasher starts a cycle but stops after a short time, and the Clean LED or Completed indicator may be blinking, here are possible causes: * **Wash Motor Error:** The control might have canceled the cycle due to an error detected with the wash motor. Refer to the 'Service Error Codes' table for more information. * **Sales Demo Mode:** The unit may be in Sales Demo mode. Run a Service Diagnostics cycle to clear Demo mode.

    • K
      Kendra BrownAug 31, 2025
      If the Clean LED on your KitchenAid dishwasher is flashing, the control is programmed with self-diagnostics. To address this, read the error code from the dishwasher and refer to the 'Service Error Codes' table. Run a Service Diagnostics Test cycle to see the complete history of error codes.

      christinemitchellNov 11, 2025
      If your KitchenAid dishwasher won't run or power up, and the keypad isn't responding with no LEDs or display, here's what to check: * **Power Supply:** Verify fuses, circuit breakers, and junction box connections are working correctly. * **Internal Connections:** Unplug the dishwasher and check for loose connections in the power-up circuit and between the keypad(s) and the control. * **LCD Display Compatibility:** If your model has an LCD, ensure the control is compatible. If it's not for an LCD model, it shouldn't have a 4-pin user interface connector at P1B. Replace the control if needed. * **Door Switch:** A door switch problem might be the cause. Please refer to the Service Error Codes table. * **User Interface/Control Damage:** Unplug the dishwasher, disassemble the door, a...

    What to do if my KitchenAid KDTE104ESS3 Dishwasher won't drain?
    • M
      Megan HardingNov 22, 2025
      If your KitchenAid dishwasher won't drain or has excess water, here's what to do: 1. **Check the Drain Loop Valve:** Disconnect the drain hose at the plumbing connection. Elevate the hose above the dishwasher and fill it with water. If water flows back into the dishwasher, the drain loop check valve isn't sealing and needs replacement. Install the new loop as high as possible. 2. **Understand Normal Water Level:** There's typically about 1" (2.4 cm) of water remaining in the filter cup hole after a cycle. This is normal. 3. **Inspect for Blockages:** * Unplug the dishwasher. * Check for blockages from the sump check valve to your plumbing. Look for issues like a plugged garbage disposal (or a plug that wasn't knocked out), a stuck drain loop check valve, or plugged hoses. ...
