Entretien et maintenance
Les changements d’outil, les réglages et le nettoyage ne
doivent être effectués que lorsque le moteur est à l’arrêt.
Débrancher la fiche de secteur.
Des ouvriers exercés peuvent effectuer eux-mêmes de pe-
tites réparations sur la machine.
Par contre, les travaux de réparation et de maintenance
sur l’installation électrique ne doivent être confiés qu’à des
électriciens de métier.
Tous les dispositifs de protection et de sécurité doivent
être remontés immédiatement lorsque les travaux de ré-
paration et de maintenance sont terminés.
Nous vous conseillons:

- Graisser les rails avec de la graisse ou de l’huile
vaporisée.
• Vérierleniveaud’huiledusystèmehydraulique.
 Vérierl’usureetl’étanchéitédesraccordshydrauli-
quesetdesvissages.Resserrerlesvissinécessaire.
Vérifier le niveau d’huile
Lesystèmehydrauliqueestunsystèmefermécomportant
un réservoir d’huile, une pompe à huile et une vanne de
commande. Vériez régulièrement le niveau de l’huile,
avant chaque mise en marche. Un niveau d’huile trop bas
peut endommager la pompe à huile. Le niveau d’huile
est plus bas d’environ 1 à 2 cm, que la surface du réser-
voir d’huile. La colonne de fente doit être rentrée avant le
contrôle,lamachinedoitêtreposéebienàplat.
Attention: Leniveau d’huile doit être contrôléquand le
coin est rentré. La jauge d’huile se trouve sur la colonne
de fente dans la vis de remplissage A (Fig. 11). Elle est
munie de deux encoches. Lorsque le niveau d’huile at-
teint l’encoche inférieure, le niveau d’huile se trouve au
minimum. Dans ce cas, il faut immédiatement rajouter
de l’huile. L’encoche supérieure indique le niveau d’huile
maximum.
Quand vidanger l’huile?
Première vidance après 50 heures de fonctionnement,
ensuite, toutes les 500 heures.
Remplacement
• Rentrezcomplètementlacolonnedefente.

When connecting to the mains or relocating the machine,
check the direction of rotation (swap polarity in the wall
socket if necessary).
Turn pole inverter in the machine socket.
Maintenance and repair
Switch off the motor and pull the power supply plug be-
fore undertaking any converting, maintenance, or clean-
ing work.
Always pull power plug!!
Skilled craftsmen can execute smaller repairs on the ma-
chine themselves.
Repair and maintenance work on the electrical system may
only be carried out by an electrician.
All protection and safety devices must be replaced im-
mediately after completing repair and maintenance pro-
cedures.
We recommend:
• Thoroughlycleanthemachineaftereveryuse.
• Splitting knife
The splitting knife is a wearing part that should be
reground or replaced by a new one, if necessary.
• Two-hand control
The combined supporting and control unit must be
kept easy-going. Occasionally grease with a few drops
of oil.
• Moving parts
Keep splitting knife guides clean from dirt, wood chips,
bark etc.
Grease sliding rails with oil spray or grease.
• Checking the hydraulic oil level
Check hydraulic connections and bolts for tightness
andwear.Retightentheboltsifnecessary.
Checking the oil level
The hydraulic unit is a closed system with oil tank, oil
pump and control valve. Check the oil level regularly be-
fore every use. Too low an oil level can damage the oil
pump. The correct oil level is approx. 10 to 20 mm below
the oil tank surface.
Note: The level of oil must be checked when the riving
knife is pulled back. The measuring stick for the oil is
located on the splitting column in the funnelling screw
A (Fig. 11) and has two notches. If the oil level is at the
lower notch, then the oil level is at a minimum. Should
this be the case, oil must be immediately added. The up-
per notch indicates the maximum oil level.
When must the oil be changed?
First oil change after 50 operating hours, then every 500
operating hours.
