PROTECTIVE FUNCTIONS
Overheating protection
A temperature sensor can monitor the temperature inside the unit. If an elevated
temperature is detected, the unit will automatically shut down.
Small object detection
If a pot is non-magnetic, of an unsuitable size or another small object (e.g. knife,
fork, key) has been left on the plate, the hob will automatically go into standby
mode within one minute. The fan will continue to run for one minute to cool the
unit.
Automatic shutdown
The automatic shutdown is a protective function of the induction cooktop. It turns
o automa- tically if you forget to turn o the plate after cooking. The standard
run times for dierent temperature levels are as follows:

TIMER
You can use the timer in dierent ways:
• You can use the timer as an egg timer. Here, the timer will not turn o a hob
when the time is reached.
• You can use the timer to turn o a cooktop when the time is reached.
• The timer can be set for up to 99 minutes.
