What to do if Kobalt KST 4024A-03 Trimmer stops while cutting?

  If your Kobalt trimmer stops while cutting, there could be several reasons. First, the motor shaft or trimmer head might be bound with grass; stop the trimmer, remove the battery, and remove the grass. Second, the motor may be overloaded; move the trimmer head to cut no more than 8 inches of grass in a single cut, then remove the trimmer head and restart the tool. Finally, the battery pack or trimmer might be too hot; release the trigger, wait for it to cool down, and restart.

Why Kobalt KST 4024A-03 Trimmer head will not advance line?

  If the trimmer head on your Kobalt trimmer won't advance the line, it could be due to a couple of reasons. One possibility is that the motor shaft or trimmer head is bound with grass. To resolve this, stop the trimmer, remove the battery, and clean the motor shaft and trimmer head. Another reason could be that there isn't enough line on the spool. In this case, remove the battery and replace the cutting line.
