Using the capture plus tab
AF Control
Choose an auto-focus setting.
Continuous AF (default for video)—b ecaus e the camera
is always focusing, there is no need to press the Shutter button
halfwa y down to focus.
Single AF (default for pictures)—uses TTL-AF
(through -the-lens au to focus) when the Shu tter button is
pressed halfway down.
Date Stamp
Imprint the date on p ictures.
Not available on panoram ic
pictures.
Choose a d ate option, or turn off the fea ture. (Default is off.)

Options
White Balance
Choose your lighting
condition.
Available in Auto and
SCN-Custom mode.
Auto (default)—automatically corrects white balance. Ideal
for general picture taking.
Daylight— for pictures in natural lighting.
Tungsten—corrects th e orange cast of household light b ulbs.
Ideal for indoor pictures under tungsten or halogen lightin g
without flash.
Fluor escent— corrects the green cast of fluorescent lighting.
Ideal for indoor pictures under fluores cent lighting without
flas h.
Open Shade—for pictures in shade in natural lighting.
Face Detect Capture
Choose if faces get focus
priority.
On (default)—In Auto mode (a nd in SCN modes des ig ned
for pictures of people), the camera attempts to focus on faces.
