  To resolve documents jamming or multiple documents feeding in your Kodak scanner: * Ensure the output tray and side guides are adjusted to fit the document size. * Verify all documents meet the specified size, weight, and type requirements. * Remove all staples and paper clips. * Make sure that all rollers and tires are clean and the separator module and feed module are properly installed. To remove a document jam: * Remove any documents from the feeder area. * Push up on the scanner cover release latch and open the scanner cover. * Locate the jammed document and remove it. * Close the scanner cover with both hands; push it down firmly until it latches into place. Resume scanning.

  The Kodak Scanner is designed for USB 2.0, but it can function with USB 1.1. If you're using USB 1.1, upgrading to USB 2.0 may improve the speed. Also, certain features in the ISIS Driver or TWAIN Datasource, such as Streak Filter, Hole Fill, Sharpening, or Auto Rotate, can reduce scanning speed if enabled. Your PC also may not meet the minimum requirements for the scanner.

  If your Kodak scanner isn't scanning or feeding documents, ensure that: * The power cord is plugged in and the power is on. * The power switch is on and the green LED is lit. * The scanner cover is completely closed. * Documents are making contact with the feed module. * The height of batched documents is less than 10.2 mm (0.4 in.) or approximately 150 sheets of 60 g/m2 (16 lb.) paper. * Documents meet specifications for size, weight, and type, etc. * For thicker documents, you lift the gap release lever during feeding. * Check the feed module and separator module for signs of wear, and replace these parts if necessary. You can also power the scanner down and power up again.
