Tappets block
1. Release the two push rods by loosening the two
hex cap screws and removing them from the upper
surface of the gear case. See Figure 10-37

Cylinder
1. Rotate the flywheel until the piston reaches the
Bottom Dead Center (BDC) so that the studs are a
guideline to remove the cylinder from the
crankcase. See Figure 10-38.
Note: If the repair does not require replacing the piston
or liner, keep the liner on the piston. Lift up the
liner enough so that the piston pin hole is free.
