Why does my Kohler Engine start but not keep running?

If your Kohler Engine starts but doesn't keep running, the issue might stem from several potential causes. Check the fuel quality and replace it with fresh, clean fuel if it's old or contaminated. Also, inspect the fuel tank cap vent and clear or replace it if it's restricted. A faulty carburetor or cylinder head gasket could also be the culprit, requiring replacement. Other possible reasons include a fuel pump malfunction, an intake system leak (repair the leak), loose wires that intermittently ground the ignition kill circuit (secure these wires), or faulty/misadjusted choke or throttle controls (adjust or replace them).
