9. DROP SEPARATOR, FPTE
9.1. Operating conditions
The operating temperature range is –20…+100 °C.
9.2. Commissioning
Make sure that the drop separator units are intact and that they have been mounted correctly with
regards to the air flow direction (arrow).
Check the condensation water discharge system, i.e., drip tray, piping and water trap. Flush the piping
and fill the water trap.
9.3. Maintenance
Make sure that the drop separator units are clean and intact.
Clean, if necessary. Clean the coil gently with a brush, compressed air or a vacuum cleaner. If the unit
has water drains, the coil can be cleaned with water and a mild detergent. NOTE! Do not use pressure
cleaning.
Check and clean the condensation water discharge system, i.e., drip tray, piping and water trap.
Damaged drop separator units must be repaired in place, sent to the manufacturer to be repaired or
replaced.
Make sure that the drop separator units have been mounted correctly with regards to the air flow di-
rection (arrow).
CAUTION
If the units are not used during the heating season, we recommend that they should be
removed.
CAUTION
If the drop separator section is located on the outlet side downstream of the fan, make
sure that the fan is stopped before you open the access door.
