Necessary tools
k Stop the machine on a level ground, lower
the work equipment to the ground, and set
chocks under the tire securely.
k When removing the measurement plug and
disconnecting the hose, loosen the oil filler
cap slowly to release the pressure inside
the hydraulic tank.
a Measurement conditions
q Hydraulic oil temperature: 45 – 55°C
a Test the fan in a place where the fan blade and
probe will not be exposed to direct sunlight or
strong light.
Testing fan speed
1. Open the radiator grill.
2. Install stand [1], probe [2], and reflecting tape
[3] in the tachometer kit Q1.
3. Connect the cable of probe [2] to tachometer
[4].

4. Start the engine, run at high idle, and measure
the fan speed.
5. After finishing the work, remove the measuring
instruments and return the removed parts.
