• Always hold the work piece securely against the crown pro while cutting.
• Be sure to provide adequate support for long pieces of molding.
• Always stop the downward motion of the saw as soon as the cut is
 complete,offcutscanfallbeneaththebladeandresultinakickbackifthe
 downwardmotionofthesawiscontinuedintothemitersawbase.Some
 sawsprovideanadjustableheightstoptostopthebladesdownward
 motion.Thisfeaturecanbeusedtoconsistentlystopthedownwardmotion
of the cut in the proper location.
• When using a sliding miter saw, always cut with the saw in the fully
 retractedposition.Extendingthesawbladeoutandcuttingthroughthe
 moldingcanresultinakickback.
• Forsawswhichhaveanadjustablebackfence,eitherremovethefenceor
 movethefencetothemostopenpositiontoavoidriskofkickback.
