The setting is made on the readjustment hexagon (2) (hexagonal head screw W/F 19 mm) of
the linkage setter (1):
Turn adjusting screw to the right until the
brake shoes fit tightly against the brake drum.
Turn adjusting screw to the left until the
idle stroke is approx. 10-15 mm on the linkage setter (at 127 mm).
The wheel must be able to rotate freely (without grinding noise).
Note
With a correctly set brake the piston rod should not be manually movable more than approx. 10
mm. Play between plunger and membrane in idle position is not permissible.
