6.3 Shutdown / Temporary storage / Preservation
D Pull the pump plug and the unit’s mains plug.
D Remove the automatic control unit from the pump piping and
flush with clear water.
D Leave the unit to dry and store in a dry, dark and frost-proof
room.
D Special preservation measures are not required.

7 Main t en ance / Repair
7.1 General instructions
Always pullthe mains plug before startingany workon theauto-
matic control unit. The Controlmatic E.2 unit may only be
opened by skilled personnel authorized by KSB.
7.2 Servicing / inspection
The automatic control unit is maintenance-free.
7.3 Water reserve
The water reserve stored in the control unit serves to reduce
frequent pump s tarts / stops potentially caused by minor leaks
in the system. The actual volume of this reserve depends on
the maximum pump discharge pressure.
7.4 Drainage / Disposal
D Disconnect the automatic control unit from the pump and the
mains.
D Remove the automatic control unit from the system.
D Shake the control unit, pressing one finger against the valve
disc to allow all water to drain.
7.5 Spare parts stock
It is not recommended to keep spare parts on stock. In case of
damage please refer to the service centre directory attached.
KSB has an extensive service network.
